Practical app guide

How to follow a stretching routine without loading videos

Use an illustrated routine with written steps and a timer if you prefer a session that does not depend on exercise video playback. Unknot uses that format. The tradeoff is that a still image cannot show the whole transition into a movement. If written guidance leaves you guessing, choose clear video or spoken instruction instead.

Unknot’s exercise player combines illustrations and written steps with a countdown.

A stalled video interrupts a session. Switching formats can remove that dependency, but guidance still needs to be clear enough for you to follow.

Written by the team building Unknot. This guide covers planning your break, not an exercise prescription.

1. Decide which format helps you understand

Illustrations are easy to glance at while following a familiar movement. Video can show transitions and changing body positions that a single image cannot. Written steps add context, but they are not a substitute for an instructor when you cannot understand the movement.

2. Check the actual exercise screen

Look for a readable image, accessible written instructions, and a timer you can pause. The Unknot preview below shows these together. Do not assume a marketing screenshot proves that every screen or movement will work for you.

3. Distinguish video-free from fully offline

Not streaming exercise videos does not establish that an entire app works without internet. Purchases, account access, downloads, and synchronization can have separate requirements. Test the specific routine and access state before relying on any app somewhere without connectivity.

4. Choose guided classes when you need demonstrations

If you prefer an instructor-led session, STRETCHIT publishes video flexibility classes. Check its class format before switching to an illustrated timer. The right choice depends on how you follow instructions, not on which format has the fewest features.

Try the workflow before committing

Choose one routine, inspect its movements and controls, and decide whether the format fits your day. Check access and subscription terms before purchasing. A long feature list is less useful than a session you can actually follow.
